Abstract

Purpose: the article is devoted to the problems faced by developed countries and Russia in the labor market during the Sars-cov-2 pandemic. Discussion: the Sars-cov-2 pandemic changed the situation on the labor market. There was unemployment unprecedented increase in most countries, the volume of employment decreased in most areas of the economy, and not only in those affected by restrictive measures. The structure of labor demand was changed. Particularly tough restriction measures were introduced in developed countries, in connection with which there have been significant changes in the labor market. The main problem is the sharp rise in the unemployment rate. Results: the authors identified the performance trends of the labor market in developed countries and Russia: high growth rates of unemployment, as well as the main common problems faced by the reviewed countries during the pandemic.
