The tools for improving regional industrial policy in the Russian regions

Abstract

Purpose: to propose directions and tools for improving regional industrial policy based on the content of the regional industrial policy framework. Discussion: the work of the industrial policy of the regions should be based on their characteristics, including production, resource, scientific and technological, personnel potential, and other features of administrative and territorial entities. Results: during the study, the author identified the regions – representatives of homogeneous groups of clusters. On the basis of the analysis, the author proposed the promising directions and tools for improving industrial policy in the regions, taking into account the identified shortcomings and achievements of its strategic position.
