Abstract

The properties of silica gel-based sorbents, modified by hetarylformazanes, have been studies with
respect to noble metal ions. The synthesis of the sorbents with bead sizes up to 6 μm is described. The
quantitative characteristics of sorption efficiency for noble metal ions have been estimated. Optimal sorption
conditions for the metals have been found. It is shown that gold and palladium are best-recovered metals.
