Abstract

To purify water from ferrum ions (III) 2 sorbent samples have been developed. The sorbents consist
of silicondioxide composites with carbon and silver but they differ in the technologe of synthesis. The
sorbent ability of each sample has been studied and it has been established that exchange capacity of ferrum
(III) sorbents equals 5,3 – 5,5 mmol/g. It allows to assume that the given sorbents can be used for purifying
water from other ferrum compounds(III) and other heavy metals including the toxic ones.
