Lack of toxicity and good biocompatibility allow to use hitozan as matrixes for a large number
physiologically and biologically active agents. One of such connections are triterpene saponin of Quallaja
Saponaria Molina. The purpose of this work is the studying of mechanisms of sorption of the connected
substances including research of kinetic curves of sorption of a saponinon hitozan.
Object of research was the commodity sample of a saponin of Quillaja saponaria Molina of
production Belgium. I acted as a sorbent hitozan, used as dietary supplement to food, productions of
Farmakon Production (St. Petersburg). Kinetic curve sorptions of a saponin from solution were received,
using a method of limited volume.
Considering existence in solution of ion-molecular forms of a sorbent and sorbate it is possible to
assume that one of mechanisms of keeping of a saponin on the hitozan are electrostatic interactions between
positively loaded protonated amino groups of a hitozan and karboaniony glycuronic acid of a saponin. Also
besides ionic forces play the intermolecular hydrogen communications arising between NH2 group of a
molecule of a hitozan and OH - groups of carbohydrate part of a molecule of a saponin, and also
phenomenon of association of molecules of a glycoside in a phase of a hitozan. The essential contribution to
process of interaction of a hitozan with the saponin is made by conformation of a carbohydrate chain of a
molecule of a hitozan, and also superficial activity of a saponin.
