The presented article assesses the correctness of the results of reversed gas chromatography in determining the thermodynamic compatibility of a polymer mixture of the type of semi-interpenetrating polymer networks obtained by structuring a reactance of polyaminoimide resin on a linear polybenzimidazole matrix. The relative error of determining the specific retained volume of sorbate on polymeric sorbents is defined. Possible sources of error are taken into account. The contribution of bulk sorption in the mixed adsorption- absorption mechanism is determined, because unrecorded specific retention volume would introducea significant error in the thermodynamic parameters of mixing of the semi-interpenetrating network components calculated below.
