Chinese cultural key words nominating the beijing opera roles and subroles translation

Abstract

The theme of our article is Chinese cultural key words nominating the Beijing Opera roles and subroles translation. The Beijing Opera is a treasure of traditional art and culture of China. It is considered the quintessence of China, and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The subject of the work is Chinese cultural key words nominating the Beijing Opera roles and subroles, which play a vital role in understanding the culture of the Chinese nation. Their adequate translation into Russian is of great importance for presenting the best traditions of Chinese culture in Russia. Nowadays, there are many issues in the translation of the Beijing Opera into Russian that require focus study. The purpose of our work is to identify the optimal strategies and techniques for translating Chinese cultural key words nominating the Beijing Opera roles and subroles into Russian. Our research methods are the analysis of scientific literature in Chinese, English and Russian languages, comparative method of studying translations of Chinese cultural key words nominating the Beijing Opera roles and subroles into Russian and comparing them with cultural keywords in Chinese. The result of this work is identifying effective strategies and techniques for translating them into Russian. These results can be used to translate the Chinese cultural keywords of different areas in the Beijing Opera. We concluded that the main problems of translation can be attributed to the perception of the Chinese culture by the translator, then translation of the Chinese cultural keywords into Russian in such a way that the Russian-speaking recipient does not have difficulties in perceiving, understanding and assimilating the cultural information of the keywords. We have chosen the "golden mean" as the basic strategy.In translation process the priority task is a transfer of Chinese culture, it will determine the strategies and techniques of translation.
