This article presents some Chinese scientists and their works in the direction of linguistic consciousness, and analyzes the degree of study of the national and cultural specifi cs of Chinese and Russian linguistic consciousness in dissertation research. With the constant development of Chinese-Russian relations, more and more philologists are beginning to study the differences in linguistic consciousness caused by the differences in the languages and cultures of China and Russia, and come to the conclusion that it is necessary to analyze, systematize and identify language gaps and information processing processes from different points. The material for the analysis was 38 dissertations in Russian on linguistic consciousness and the linguistic picture of the world for the degree of candidate or doctor of philological and pedagogical sciences, defended in the period from 1999 to 2020. The author identified six thematic groups in the areas of research: intercultural processing textual information, linguo-cognitive analysis, analysis of language fixed collocation, analysis of gender differences, intercultural communication and linguistic personality, specific semantic field and language gaps. The features of these works are analyzed in terms of the relevance of topics, as well as the choice of object, methods and techniques. The views and research trends of modern young scientists in this area over the past two decades are also considered. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained, the author comes to the conclusion that the huge differences between Russian and Chinese cultures and languages affect the development of comparative studies of the national and cultural specifics of Chinese and Russian linguistic consciousness and open up an opportunity for further study.
