Abstract

The topic of this study is the intercategorial interaction of the functional-semantic categories of taxis and aspectuality. The aim of the present study is to consider the issue of aspectual-taxis intercategorial interaction in the context of actualization of primary-taxis categorial situations of simultaneity and non-simultaneity (including iterative-primary taxis and various phase-primary taxis). The subject of the study is the description of various primary taxis categorial situations of simultaneity in German statements with prepositional deverbatives with taxis prepositions of temporal semantics vor, nach, seit, bis / bis zu, während, bei, in, mit. In the course of the study, it was revealed that the functional-semantic categories of taxis and aspectuality closely interact with each other, constituting an aspectual-taxis semantic syncretic complex. We define the nature of the intercategorial interaction of taxis categories and aspectuality as intercategorial crossing. Intercategorical crossing of functional-semantic categories of taxis and aspectuality determines the actualization of various variants of primary aspectualtaxis categorial situations of simultaneity, precedence and following in statements with monotaxis and polytaxis prepositions of temporal semantics. In statements of the iterative type, interacted iterative-primary-taxis categorial situations of simultaneity / non-simultaneity, determined by various iterative quantifiers, are actualized. In statements of the phase type, various phase-primary-taxis categorial situations of simultaneity and non-simultaneity are actualized: ingressive-phase-taxis, egressive-phase-taxis, phase-taxis, marking the middle stage of the course of verb actions, as well as interacted phase-primary-taxis categorial situations.
