Abstract

In this article the features of metalanguage reflection on proper names are considered. The subject of the study is onomastic reflexive, consisting of two main components: a proper name that is subject to reflection, and a metalanguage comment containing semantic information about the object of reflection. The relevance of the research topic is determined by the methodological framework of modern linguistics, as well as the specifics of the studied language material. In practical terms, the relevance of the research topic is explained by the active metalanguage reflection of native speakers over onyms, which, according to the results of the quantitative analysis of reflexives carried out by the author become the object of metalanguage reflection in 3,4 times more often than common names. The conducted research is intended to make a certain contribution to the development of the problems of onomastic reflection. The purpose of the article is to search for and describe individual classification principles for constructing a typology of onomastic reflexives used in the space of literary texts. The search for grounds for classification is conducted in the field of content, semantic parameters of reflexives. The material for the study was onomastic reflexives extracted by the method of continuous sampling from the texts of E. Vodolazkin. The choice of language material is determined by the idiosyncrasies of the writer, whose texts are characterized by onomastic loading and increasing reflexivity, manifested in the abundance and diversity of metalanguage contexts, which indicates the relevance of the collected material to the purpose of the study. To achieve the purpose of the study, we analyzed the corpus of onomastic reflexives for the content of metalanguage comments. At the same time, it was found that all reflexives are divided into two semantic classes: 1) reflexives with descriptive semantics and 2) reflexives with evaluative semantics. Metalanguage contexts belonging to the fi rst group describe the essential characteristics of onyms, metalanguage contexts of the second group are reduced to the evaluation of proper names.
