Abstract

The relevance of the work is due to the possibility of analyzing the speech activity of a bilingual in a situation of code switching and mediated Internet communication. The aim is to summarize new empirical material on the problem under study, presenting an insuffi ciently researched scientifi c fi eld of contact linguistics and Internet communication, characterized by an unformed conceptual apparatus, undergoing specification and terminologization. The mechanisms and pragmatic functions of code switching in a situation of mediated Internet communication requiring interdisciplinary scientifi c research were analyzed. Based on the analysis of the material and statistical processing, the necessity of studying the linguistic and cultural meanings characterizing the Chechen linguoculture in the network is substantiated. It is established that a hypothetical "cognitive dissonance" is possible in the linguistic consciousness, which presents the mental parameters of the identity of the ethnos. A comprehensive analysis and study of the explicitness of linguistic and cultural meanings in messages and comments under the conditions of code switching and the situation of distant mediated Internet communication make it possible to identify the deep meanings of sociolinguistic, psycholinguistic and linguistic approaches in the speech fl ow in CS. In Internet communication the oral and written models of information transmission in the network, characterized by a colloquial style of speech, are distinguished. Belonging to two linguistic and cultural codes of the communicator's speech is characterized by "interspersing" at the lexico-semantic and "mixing of codes" at the syntactic levels. The syntactic level, where the "mixing of codes" occurs, is promising for research practices. Particular attention is paid to the syncretism and lacunarity of the Chechen and Russian linguistic cultures. The quantitative measurability of the empirical material allows us to build a model of the functioning of mediated Internet communication, which in the future will make it possible to study code switching in the situation of Internet communication in more detail and in other languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation.
