This study analyzes the syntactic structures of numerical constructions in different languages for comparative study. The author pays particular attention to the distinction between the concepts of «numeral name» and «numeral». This question is relevant because there is still no consensus in linguistic literature on where the boundary between these concepts lies. The scientific novelty of this research lies in the author's examination of the structure of numerical constructions in different languages and attempts to identify common patterns in their formation. To achieve this, the study utilized scientific-theoretical and scientific-practical research, as well as language materials including Russian, Tatar, Turkish, Azerbaijani, English, and other languages. Descriptive-comparative, typological, and typological-comparative methods of linguistics were applied during the investigation. The practical significance of this article lies in its ability to help linguists and researchers better understand the structure of numerical constructions in different languages. This can be of great importance in the development of methods for teaching and learning foreign languages, as well as in the creation of computer systems capable of processing and understanding various language constructions. Additionally, this research can be valuable for translators and linguists working with interlingual translations, as it helps to better grasp the peculiarities of numerical expressions in different languages and thus improve the quality of translation. Furthermore, this article can serve as a foundation for further research in the field of comparative grammar.
