TIFLO COMMENTING OF NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION (BASED ON THE FEATURE FILM ‘DIAMOND HAND’)

Тhe study focuses on the non-verbal aspect of communication, verbalized in the form of audio tifl o comments. The research material was a feature fi lm directed by Leonid Gaidai «The Diamond Hand» with tifl ocommentation. 85 fragments were selected, in which the non-verbal aspects of communication are described using verbal means of communication. The work is carried out in the framework of interdisciplinary, functional and action-oriented approaches, providing for a systematic consideration of the side of the speaker and the listener, as well as communicative needs of the speaking and given language community. The authors cover diff erent approaches to the study of non-verbal communication and tifl o commenting, defi ne the main criteria of classifi cations of non-verbal communication types, demonstrate types and diff erent methods of tifl ocommenting. The article develops an algorithm of non-verbal aspect of communication, verbalized in the form of sound typolar comments, including the following steps: compilation of a list of typolar comments with corresponding timetables, ordered chronologically; classifi cation of the Tifl ocomment by non-verbal communication types (kinesics, procsemics, tactile communication, paralyngvistics, visual elements); justifi cation of the application of Tifl ocomment in a certain situation of non-verbal communication; quantitative analysis of the use of tifl ocommentation depending on the type of non-verbal communication; analysis of parts of speech verbalizing diff erent types of non-verbal communication. The analysis showed that the most frequent form of non-verbal communication, to which tifl o commenting is applied, is kinesics. In second place in the frequency of tifl ocommenting - procsemika and tactile communication. In the third place in terms of frequency is represented by the typfl otation of visual elements. Tifl ocomentation of the paralyngvistic form of nonverbal communication is not registered. The authors concluded that typfl o commenting of diff erent types of non-verbal communication is characterized by the use of diff erent parts of speech. The acquired knowledge can be applied in the fi eld of intercultural communication in order to develop an eff ective strategy of competent interaction and communication. Information on the quantitative distribution of the Tifl ocomment depending on the type of non-verbal communication can be used to better adapt the audio-visual product to the shifting capabilities of the visually impaired person.
