The paper concerns the problem of applying a frame approach to the tourist object description on the example of Russian, English and Chinese texts. The urgency of the problem is primarily due to heightened attention to issues of the specifics of intercultural and interlingual interaction, as well as the necessity and importance of studying the structure of the text describing tourist facilities, its lexical and grammatical content, model features and implementation. The article notes the importance of identifying the structure and model of the description of tourist object, allowing you to create scenarios and model the standard structure of specific texts as you learn and receive related and actual information, combining it with experience, as well as identifying and fixing those components of the description that are common to different languages and cultures. Based on the analysis, the author notes that when identifying the specifics of the tourist destination description frame, the following main mandatory slots were identified: 1) the history of the construction of the palace; 2) the interior and exterior decoration of the palace; 3) what the palace is famous for; 4) the palace today; 5) the address of the palace. These slots are images-mappings of the corresponding components of the text describing a tourist object (situation describing the object to attract tourist’s attention to it). Consideration of the specifics of the frame as a means of describing tourist object on the basis of Russian, Chinese and English languages allows us to conclude that the frame approach is an effective method for identifying the logical structure of texts describing tourist object. The study of the text frame contributes to the recognition and fixing of common elements of the description for the studied languages, which allows one to develop common parameters that will meet the description of the tourist object.
