Abstract

The paper analyzes the specifics of the activities of the warehouse staff, during which the problem of significant economic (labor and production) costs due to human operator errors is also identified. The existing warehouse complex management systems (SMS) do not include the necessary components aimed at minimizing this kind of costs. The specifics of labor activity in this subject area also does not provide for a long period of training with the attachment of individual instructors. Therefore, the urgent task is to develop new systems based on the current WMS architecture with the possibility of organizing personnel training in the shortest possible time without stopping the business processes of the warehouse complex and attracting a large number of instructors. Based on the analysis of existing solutions, a structural model of a typical WMS is presented, and a modernized structure with a subsystem for training and education of warehouse complex employees is proposed. The preparation subsystem is implemented using virtual reality technologies, as well as the use of machine learning and computer vision technologies to collect large amounts of data on business processes occurring in the warehouse complex. Approaches and technologies that make it possible to implement the proposed modified WMS are considered, a prototype of the training subsystem in the virtual environment of the warehouse complex is demonstrated. The implementation of the system and its implementation will allow in the future to minimize the costs caused by human operator errors, due to his training in the technological process at the facility in virtual reality.
