Abstract

The article proposes a web application architecture designed for unified processing of differently shaped spatial datasets from distributed sources. The article demonstrates general concepts of the proposed architecture and describes the tasks solved by its implementation, as well as the application areas of apps implemented on the basis of said architecture. The architecture involves the use of data integration and federation principles. The article discusses technologies used for data integration and provides an overview analysis of their advantages, disadvantages and use cases. The article contains a description of the prototype development process and an analysis of the general principles for building applications using proposed architecture, as well as a description of protocols for application interaction with clients. The article also presents the results of prototype testing, which demonstrates an increase in time performance of about 20 % compared to applications implemented using traditional approaches.
