The article considers the development and implementation of further professional education programmes using innovative technologies and digital resources. The issue is of current importance taking into account the need for continuous education in the situation of active development and introduction of new production technologies at industrial enterprises. Therefore, it is necessary to develop programmes that would provide high quality knowledge. Traditional approaches cannot be applied to create specialized further professional education programmes because they are too time and resource consuming. Developers of such programmes often act intuitively, without taking into account effective methods, approaches, and training systems, which results in the questionable quality of the content. The field of further professional training for certified specialists requires a new education platform, and the education process should be designed in a way that would take into account the interests of customers, developers, and the end users of the education programmes. In our country, there is no solid approach as to what the content of such programmes should be. This is why we suggest a new solution. The article shows the importance of the principles of pedagogical design and presents the results of the analysis of its modern tools and techniques, the specifics of their implementation and areas of their application. In our study, we used an improved ADDIE model for the formation of high-quality content for a further professional education programme because it transfers the required information to the end consumer in the most understandable form. The analysis of the development and implementation of further professional education programmes was performed by means of a systematic approach. Using this approach we managed to simulate the process of designing an educational program and form a set of functional models which facilitate the development of high-quality education programmes and the interaction between customers and developers.
