Abstract

Porous structure of active carbon, derived from coke of coconut, and of source coke is investigated by low-temperature nitrogen adsorption. It is established, that at gas-vapour activation primary porosity, represented mainly by micropores with maxima of distribution ~ 0.95 and ~ 1.30 nm, develops both to reducing size of micropores with a shift of the maxima to 0.80 and 1.20 nm, respectively, and to formation of mesopores with a volume about ¼ of the primary porosity
