Abstract

The problem of frontal sorption dynamics for sharp convex isotherms which take place often in
practice is discussed. Model of the equilibrium sorption dynamics with longitudinal diffusion which is
applied widely in chromatography is used. It is showed that approximation of these isotherms by
piecewise-linear isotherms (in particularly rectangular isotherms) permits to obtain analytical decisions
which are suitable for small and long times of this process.
