Abstract

The differential isosteric heat and entropy of adsorption of n-hexane vapors on dehydrated
methylammоnium- and tetramethylammоnium form montmorillonites were determined. The temperature
dependence of the adsorption equilibrium parameters shown that the substitution of [CH3NH3]+,
[(CH3)4N]+ for exchangeable cations of montmorillonite causes an increase in the volume of the
micropores and in the heat adsorption. The differential entropy of adsorption of C6H14 on modifyed form
of montmorillonites is negative for all the filling.
