Abstract

Immense investments are required for the development of Russia, the modernization of its economy and itscomplete integration into the world economic system. The drawing of foreign investments into Russian economy is considered to be the main condition of its restructuring and the beginning of the steady economic growth in the country. One of the biggest problems is still the insignificant share of Russia in the world volume of the foreign investment. The analysis of the dynamics and structure of the foreign investments, which were drawn into Russia's economy in 1994-2004, lets us evaluate the size of the investment funds deficit, which according to the international analytical and rating agencies will be around 200-300 billiards of dollars in the nearest 5-7 years. Consequently the priority has been given to the improvement of the state regulation of the economic policy concerning foreign investments drawing, which should be based on the detailed long-termed and integrated conception of development.
