Abstract

The article examines the dynamics and structure of securitization markets in the USA and Western Europe. The features of the functioning of these markets which determine the main directions of development of global securitization market are highlighted. The factors that influence the structure of the securitized assets are discovered. The article also contains the analysis of relationship and reasons for the different behavior of the securitization markets, the US and Western Europe, during the 2008 crisis.
