In the article, the analysis of the characteristics of client-oriented personnel is executed on the basis of theoretical and empirical data. The levels of employee orientation to the client are defi ned. The analysis of methods for assessing the client-orientation of the staff is carried out. The need to develop a set of assessment tools is justifi ed. The limitations and results of the application of staff assessment methods are also given.
