Abstract

This article examines the theoretical basis of innovation, studied the peculiarities of formation of innovation development in the Republic of Azerbaijan. In addition we analyze the innovation activity in the oil and gas industry of the Republic, and summarizes the features of the innovative activities of the industry. In the end, developed a number of conclusions and proposals for improvement of innovative activity, as studied in the industry and the whole economy.
