Abstract

There is itemized a content of concepts «quality of living» and «standard of living». There is grounded the normative approach to their estimation based upon a comparison actual indicators with the social standards of the quality and standard of living. There are considered methodological questions of an application of the normative consumer budgets of different prosperity levels and the standards of housing security of the population and also the number of other social standards of the quality and standard of living. The estimates of the quality and standard of living are carried out in an international section and also in a section of the countries and Russian regions the day before the Current Financial Crisis
