Shadow economy as a sign of the contentiousness of the economic system of society

Abstract

The article gives the notion of the economic conflictogenity of society. It shows that the shadow economy is the response of the business to disagreements and contradictions in the economic sphere. The article examines a wide range of definitions of the shadow economy in Russian and foreign academic literature. It presents authors' definitions of the components of the state economy: formal and hidden economy, legal and illegal (criminal) economy, shadow and informal (domestic) economy.
