On the directions of improvement of the minimum wage regulation mechanism in the Russian Federation

Abstract

In article the author examines the practice of setting the minimum wage in Russia in the period from 2009 to the present. Also the differentiation of related concepts which establishes minimum guarantees for wages is analyzed. On the basis of comparison of the subsistence minimum in the Russian Federation subjects and the minimum wage values the differences in the levels of minimum guarantees for the payment of wages established in the regions is highlighted. At the conclusion of the article the author gives the main directions of improving the system of minimum wage.
