Historical dynamics of meaning of a discourse marker (case study of the marker inache govorya / in other words)

The paper analyzes historical changes of semantic, syntactic and pragmatic features of the discourse marker “inache govorya” (“in other words”). The research is based on the data of the Russian National Corpus. The analysis of the main subcorporus shows the evolution of this discourse marker. In modern Russian “inache govorya” marks the reorganization of the statement.
