Abstract

Importance: the subject of this research is approaches to the definition of strategic management and strategic management of innovative development of the enterprise. Purpose: substantiation of the author’s approach to strategic management of innovative development of the enterprise as a process containing the following stages: search and monitoring of information disturbance of the competitive environment, identification of competitive threats and opportunities, assessmentt of heir impact on the innovative activity of the enterprise, transformation of competitive threats and opportunities into competitive advantages. Research design: as part of the creation of effective strategic management of innovative development of the enterprise, the authors propose to take into account information disturbances, which are understood as events in the competitive environment that have an informational manifestation and cause the reaction of the enterprise and influence on innovative activity through changes in the competitive positions of the enterprise. taking into account the disturbance of the factors of the competitive environment. Results: the conducted research of scientific sources regarding the definition of the essence of the economic category «management of innovative development» determines its combination with «strategic enterprise management», which formed the basis for the formulation of the author’s definition of strategic management of innovative development. The authors present the process of strategic management of innovative development, which contains functional sequential blocks, which in the conditions of an active innovative position of the enterprise will have a cyclical character. It was concluded that innovative development provides competitive advantages, but competitive advantages do not always contribute to innovative development, that is, competitive advantages cannot always be identified with innovative potential.
