Prospects for the development of the russian economy in the context of Industry 4.0
Abstract
Importance: the development of information technologies has led to a qualitative change in the possibilities of their application in various industries and sectors of the economy. As part of the implementation of the national program «Digital Economy of the Russian Federation», the readiness of enterprises to use artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data and other technologies in business processes is being assessed. The introduction and application of new digital technologies inevitably faces the risks of their use and the possibilities of optimal inclusion in the practical activities of enterprises in all sectors of the national economy. Purpose: to analyse the possibilities of using the elements of «Industry 4.0» in the context of the digital transformation of the economy. Research design: research design: «Industry 4.0» contains seven components that combine the holistic development of economic sectors. Each of the components is implemented in accordance with the capabilities of the industry and is based on current technological capabilities. Results: the features of the development of the Russian economy in accordance with the elements of «Industry 4.0» are revealed. It is determined that the application of components of this approach is possible for all sectors of the economy. The sphere of information and communication technologies is currently a priority area of development. Risks are identified and promising directions of digital transformation of the economy are evaluated.
