The impact of the shadow economy on small business

Abstract

Purpose: to analyze the reasons for the wide development of shadow economic activity in the field of small business in Russia. To pay attention to the problems arising in the functioning of small businesses. To formulate priority directions of counteraction to criminalization of entrepreneurship in small business. Discussion: the problems of shadow activity of small businesses, the direction of its transformation, quantitative assessment of the volume and structure, methods of influence on its value are not sufficiently investigated, which is proved by a small number of studies in this direction. Results: it is proved that the shadow side occupies a significant place in the economic activity of small businesses in Russia; the main reasons for the activities of small enterprises in the shadow sector of the economy are classified; the types of state counteraction to shadow economic activity are analyzed; the necessity of taking a set of measures for state support of small business is substantiated; the mechanisms of influence aimed at legalization of small business are proposed.
