The latest trends of smart city formation and development

Abstract

Purpose: The article deals with the analysis of recent trends in the technological development of cities and the study of the prospects for the formation of «smart cities». Discussion: Only technological development of cities and the introduction of the concept of «smart city» is not enough to solve social and economic issues. Subjects implementing the concept of a «smart city» need to apply an integrated approach to solving actual problems of a modern city. Results: The author analyzes the main advantages and possible risks of technological development of cities. The author defines the ways and stages of introducing the concept of «smart city».
