Abstract

Purpose: to analyze the results of subsidizing farms in the Moscow region engaged in breeding dairy cattle. Discussion: one of the necessary conditions for ensuring the country's food security at the present time is the normal functioning and permanent development of such areas as «breeding dairy farming». This fact is explained by the fact that, on the one hand, milk and dairy products occupy an important place in the daily human diet, and on the other hand, the development of dairy cattle breeding requires appropriate breeding work. Given the full range of problems in the field of livestock breeding, it should be recognized that it is impossible to solve them without proper state support, including in the form of subsidies. Moreover, the cost of production of milk and dairy products is currently increasing due to the weakening of the ruble. In this situation repeatedly increases the importance of evaluating the effectiveness of state measures of support of pedigree dairy cattle, which is logically based on the analysis of effects resulting from the implementation of these measures. Results: the size and structure of subsidies in the Moscow region for the period 2017-2019 are considered, and the effects of subsidies are analyzed, namely: changes in the number of dairy cattle and the dynamics of productivity of dairy cattle.
