Analytical support for income and expences management in the logistics company

Abstract

Purpose: the scientific article reveals the problems of analysis and control of business and expenses, the composition, structure and quality of management of which depends the ability of a commercial organization to respond in a timely and adequate manner to changing business conditions, to find reserves for increasing efficiency and optimality of activity. Discussion: the organization revenues and expenses are critical components that influence financial results, determine how well management decisions have been made to prioritize revenue-generating areas and the completeness of flexible planning tools in terms of expenditure. Timely, systematic analysis of revenues and expenditures allows to monitor changes in customer preferences, contractual conditions, maintenance, and priority change in the composition of the related services. By also analyzing core costs, the business could be more flexible in pricing, providing key customers with attractive conditions for cooperation with a reasonable combination of financial and production risks. This will ultimately ensure a positive economic effect from the main elements of the organization's activities, improving the profitability of work and services. The authors disclosed the essence of revenues and expenses, showing especially the organization of analysis in relation to logistics companies, the composition of information sources, the current problems faced by companies operating in the field of logistics, and the available reserves for optimizing expenses and increasing (maintaining) revenues. This would facilitate sound, balanced management decisions on balanced income and expenditure management to achieve profit. Results: the authors disclosed the theoretical and organizational and methodological provisions of income and expenditure analysis, disclosed the essence and systematized the composition of the analysis information base, identified, on the example of a historical company, topical problems related to income and expenditure analysis, existing reserves for improving the efficiency of income, expenditure and financial results management.
