FOOD SUPPLY OF THE POPULATION OF THE REGION
Abstract
Purpose: analyze the food supply of the population of the Voronezh region, identify trends and determine areas for improvement. Discussion: research of food supply system involves the assessment of the socio-economic status of the population. Analysis of the amount of food the population of the region of consumption, the energy value of food, average per capita incomes of the population of the Voronezh region was held. The research showed general increase in consumption of main products of food and growth of average per capita cash incomes. High differentiation of the income of the population of the area is found. As a result, the volume of consumption and the energy value of the food of the poor do not meet the recommended standards. Results: The research has established need of development and realization of actions for improvement of food supply, in particular, of support of needy segments of the population. Authors have offered the main directions of improvement of food supply of the population.
