Improving the mechanisms of regulation of financial markets: analysis of trends

Abstract

This paper examines trends in the development of mechanisms of financial regulation, and in the article the reform proposals and the main regulatory changes that have occurred recently in the most developed financial markets. Among them: the regulation of systemically important financial institutions, regulation of the OTC derivatives market, the tightening of accounting standards, improving the consistency of the international standards of regulation and supervision, review of remuneration practices in order to maintain financial stability and the development of macroprudential approaches and instruments.
