The role of the internet in the professional formation of students
Abstract
Purpose: the article presents the results of an interdisciplinary study of students of the Department of Personnel Management of the State University of Management (Moscow) on the topic «The role of the Internet in the process of professional development of students». The respondents answered the questions about the aspects of professional information that are most interesting to students, which they select on the Internet; about the resources for obtaining information; about the purpose of discovering data about the HR manager's profession and practice-oriented actions to which this material stimulates; on the role of information in the formation of a holistic image of the profession and professional among students. Discussion: the article shows the influence of the information discovered by students on the process of their professionalization. In particular, the authors revealed that of the whole variety of information about the profession of a personnel manager, students are most interested in salary issues, the demand for the profession and the activities of employing organizations. Demonstrated the impact of professional information on the development of the thinking of future professionals, their professional identity; professionally important qualities. The article presents that students not always critically perceive the information about the profession and use it to a greater extent within the boundaries of traditional forms of education. Results: the research is practice-oriented. The full potential of carefully analyzed information about the future profession can only be unlocked if teachers apply it in a targeted and organized manner within the framework of both traditional forms and methods of teaching, and in the process of using innovative teaching technologies.
