Realization of innovative potential of the Voronezh region through the use of human capital

Abstract

Objective: to assess the level of human capital development in the region, focused on innovative development of modern economic realities.
Methodology: regional features of calculating the index of human development (HDI) are considered.
Discussion: comparative analysis of human development level in the regions of the Russian Federation. The dynamics of the HDI and its components in the Voronezh region. Assess the level of innovative activity in the region, special attention is paid to the analysis of the data on the development and use of nanotechnology.
Results: the evaluation of the level of development of human capital in the Voronezh region. The possibility of increasing the HDI through the increase of the income index in the Voronezh region. The necessity of the measures directed on increase of efficiency of innovative activity in the Voronezh region, primarily due to more efficient use of human capital.
