Improvement of the algorithm for calculating the integral indicator of sustainable development of an economic entity
Abstract
Subject:One of the forms of economic entity's possession of sustainability is competitiveness. On the other hand, competitiveness is a factor of sustainable development of the organization. The scientific and methodological tools for assessing the state of an organization in the field of sustainable development have not developed into strictly defined algorithms and methods, but are of a recommendatory nature in the form of author's developments. Almost all of them are characterized by building a calculation algorithm from the formation of a set of indicators to obtaining a comprehensive / final indicator of the sustainable development of the organization. The variety of the author's methods in their content differ in the composition of indicators for evaluation, methods and ways of processing the values of the selected indicators, the use of recommended / normative limits of the values of indicators, the method of obtaining and interpreting the integral indicator. Purpose: The author's study of the issues of assessing the degree of sustainable development and the development of an algorithm for calculating the integral indicator of sustainable development of an economic entity.Research design: The calculation algorithm was developed taking into account the requirements of simplicity, objectivity, detail, consideration of industry specifics, recognition of the experience of predecessors, preservation of the theme of the concept of sustainable development. In the process of achieving the set goals, the methods of scientific knowledge were used: dialectical; analysis and synthesis; methods and techniques of economic analysis: grouping, comparison, classification, coefficient, rating. The advantages of the development are attributed by the authors. Results: The author's version of the calculation aspect of the methodology for assessing the level of sustainable development is proposed. The algorithm consists of nine stages: forming a set of indicators; determining the values of indicators; grouping indicators; organizing the work of experts; determining standards for indicators; determining the weighting coefficients of indicators; evaluating the actual values of indicators; calculation and interpretation of the integral indicator.
