Abstract

In the present work the process of the regenerative sorption of oxygen dissolved in water using
metallic nanocomposites taking into account the bifunctional nature of the sorbent combining oxidationreduction
and ion-exchange properties is considered. The analysis of the role of the interdiffusion stage of
metal and hydrogen counter-ions in the process of the sorption of oxygen by the sorbent in the hydrogen
ionic form is carried out. On the basis of the physicochemical model of the process considering the
dispersion of metal particles, their distribution in grains and stage of oxidation of a metal, the
mathematical formulation of the problem including the interdiffusion stage of ions is given.
