Abstract

The influence of temperature in the range of 20-70 °C on the equilibrium swelling of granules of
ionic and nonionic polymers in water and ethanol was studied by photomicrography method. It is noted a
nonlinear change in the degree of swelling of the granules under increasing temperature, the presence of
positive and negative extremes, stepwise nature of the temperature curves, and a different manifestation of
the swelling effects of granules in water and ethanol
