Abstract

To evaluate the economic security, the article proposes to systematize the performance of the oil and gas complex into three components: resource, production and financial ones. The average growth index is determined for each component, based on the growth rates of its indicators. The cumulative index of economic security of the oil and gas complex is calculated as the sum of the average indices of growth in the resource, production and financial components. The offered technique allows to give the cumulative estimation of economic security of the oil and gas branch.
