The article considers meaning of the choice of the innovative strategy and forming of innovative projects’ portfolio for the development of an power engineering companies. Authors suggests worked out the methodology of the choice of the innovative strategy for the development of an power engineering companies and way forming of innovative projects’ portfolio. They present calculations for the forming of innovative projects’ portfolio on the example of «Irkutskenergo».
