The effective mechanism of the competitive foreign trade policy

Abstract

The article is devoted to the definition of the effective mechanism of competitive foreign trade policy through the analysis of the elements of foreign trade policy liberalization so as through estimation of competitive potential of the different versions of development countries foreign trade policy. The author made his own calculation of anti-export bias index in Russia for the period of 1997—2000, which was based on the method of classic NBER study directed by A. Kruger and J. Bhagvati and then corrected. Thus the stages of foreign trade policy development in Russia were distinguished and analysed if they reflected the liberalization process and proved that the mechanism of competitive foreign trade policy in Russia is effective.
