Network approach in regional management

Abstract

The article presents contemporary understanding of the region as a complex, heterogeneous, adaptive system, as well as constituents of its competitiveness. The reasons for applying the network approach in modern models of public administration (in particular, the model of sustainable development and the model of new public management), the levels and principles of implementing the network approach in public administration are considered. The article ends with conclusions about need of working-out composition and content of network mechanisms in the regional management.
