The system of social and labor relations: the meaning, form, content and process
Keywords:
networked social and labor relations, an extended systems approach, meaning, form, content, processAbstract
The social and labor relations are changing rapidly under the impact of globalization, information technology and a network economy: local and global networks of social and labor relations are formed; subjects are coming into information communications; the nonequilibrium system of labor relations is developed; the importance of employee is increasing. Existing theories of social and labor relations are not effective in explaining the changes now taking place in social and labor issues in the emerging network economy. We need new theoretical approaches to the study of social and labor relations, which would combine the external world of workers’ relationships and interdependencies and their inner world of meaning and values. An extended systems approach to studying social and labor relations provides an improved conceptual framework. The purpose of this paper is to develop a systems approach to enhancing social and labor relations. This paper focuses on the fundamental variables: meaning, form, content, and process.
