Abstract

In the article using data on Russian enterprises (2009-2011), was conducted to define the contribution of fixed-term contracts in the labor turnover and job turnover. It was found that fixed-term contracts increases the labor turnover, but reduce the job turnover. The results indicate that increased flexibility in the labor market, under the influence of fixed-term employment contracts is not due to the movement of labor from inefficient enterprises to more efficient enterprises, but due to the deterioration in the terms of employment for some groups of workers.
