Abstract

“Speaker”, exploring or studying the real world, which is practically limitless, always deals with a limited set of coordinates within the framework of which knowledge and interpretation of certain fragments of reality are carried out. Thus, the focus of consideration may be individual phenomena of the real world, their properties and characteristics, relationships with other phenomena, processes in which they participate, etc. In accordance with this, the diversity of reality in perception and description is reduced to a limited set of the above-mentioned coordinates. This, in turn, is reflected in the linguistic features of the texts, which contain the interpretation and description of the results of research activities. Verbs that nominate research actions often contain subordinate clauses that describe various situations. Within the framework of this article, the subordinate clause is considered as one of the types of distribution of the above verbs. Observations of language material made it possible to establish that a subordinate clause extending the verb of research activity, as a rule, describes some action or feature of something related to the subject of research, the description of which is carried out in the text.
