Information management of the food supply system
Abstract
Subject: the study considers the problem of insufficient development of information management tools for the food supply system in the aspect of the formation of IT solutions that allow the digitalization of agricultural producers and food supply management system. Purpose: to propose possible solutions for the tasks of developing information management of the food supply system and increasing the level of IT maturity in the industry. Research design: several initiatives on IT development of the food supply system have been adopted and legislatively approved in Russia. In this regard, within the framework of the study, it is necessary to study the current issues of digitalization of the food supply system, in order to develop measures that allow the gradual transition of the industry to the proper level of digitalization. Results: the paper proposes the creation of an industry digital platform «Food system Management», which, based on the use of digital services, will contribute to improving the efficiency of the food supply management system. As part of the implementation of the digital platform, it is proposed to form a digital profile of an agricultural producer, as well as create a portfolio of IT initiatives, which will allow participants in the food system to «pull up» to the current and promising level of digital development and ensure the improvement of information management tools in the industry.
