Abstract

Importance: а set of socio-economic relations arising in the sphere of functioning of the labor market of the Voronezh region. Purpose: to identify the actual problems of the development of the labor market of the Voronezh region and substantiate promising directions for their solution. Research design: a number of methods of economic research were used for the analysis and systematization of information, including: graphical and factor analysis, induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, systematization and grouping, extrapolation and monitoring studies. When developing a set of measures aimed at solving the identified problems of the development of the labor market of the Voronezh region, the authors used the method of economic modeling with elements of forecasting. Results: taking into account the results of the analysis of the main statistical indicators characterizing the state of the labor market of the Voronezh region for the period from 2017 to 2021, the authors established the positive dynamics of its development and relative stability; according to such indicators as «the level of participation in the labor force», «the level of employment of the population aged 15-72 years», «the average monthly nominal accrued wages of employees of organizations» revealed a slight lag from the average Russian values; the authors identified current problems that reduce the competitiveness of the labor market of the Voronezh region; they also developed a set of measures aimed at improvement of the labor market taking into account existing reserves, including the uniqueness of labor resources and industry features of the studied region; the article contains the proof of the necessity of active involvement of stakeholders, universities and colleges; it contributes to achieving a balance of employee needs.
